Boo at the Zoo

October 25 - 26: Boo at the Zoo
Visit the Zoo for the annual Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo, 10am-3pm on October 25th and 26th. Solve the scavenger hunt clues and collect yummy treats. Ride the spooky boo train and lead the costume parade with Roosevelt the alligator, the Valley Children’s Zoo’s mascot. See the Zoo animals receive their Halloween treats. Visitors will also enjoy exploring the Valley Children’s Zoo, including the many fascinating creepy crawlies in the Bug House and the leather-winged flyers in the Malayan Bat Exhibit. Children in costume receive one free rides coupon. Boo at the Zoo is free with regular Zoo admission.
Calling all ghosts, ghouls, goblins, princesses, and super heroes to the Oakland Zoo family friendly Halloween celebration, featuring:
• A Spooky Scavenger Hunt
• The Boo Choo-Choo
• Tricks and treats
• Face painting
• Animal Feedings with pumpkins
• Participate in the making Halloween treats for the animals
• Costume Parade led by the Zoos own mascot, Roosevelt the alligator
• Dance to tunes in Flamingo Plaza
•On October 26, FedEx and Safe Kids USA will remind children and parents how to keeps kids safe on Halloween. FedEx will provide reflective giveaways to increase children's visibility during evening hours and safety tips for parents and drivers.
Children wear your spooky Halloween costumes and receive a free rides ticket (excludes the Skyride)
Visitors will also enjoy exploring the Valley Childrens Zoo, including the many fascinating creepy crawlies in the Bug House and the leather-winged bats in the Malayan Bat Exhibit.

The Oakland Zoo is always a fun place for kids on Halloween. I've gone for many years with my kids. We're also zoo members which I highly recommend.
