American Scary - TV Horror Host Documentary

As a kid (and now adult) I've always wanted to be a late night (or Saturday afternoon) horror host. I've had fun with "The Mark Harvey Show"(here), "The S.O.B. Puppet Hour"(here) and guest appearances on the Sci-Fi show "Super Spy Chick"(here), but have not yet ventured into the horror host genre...but I'm still young. Today I ran across something so amazing, I just had to say SOMETHING...
Get ready Boils and Ghouls for...American Scary - "a look at the nation's tradition of horror hosting, from Ghoulardi to Ghoul-A-Go-Go. Follow this American folk art form from its glamorous beginnings, through repeated waves of popularity, to its scrappy resurgence and survival in the age of cable access and the Internet. "

Growing up I lived on "Creature Features" a horror hosted SF Bay Area show (Bob Wilkins was the host when I was watching). The horror shows were a staple for me and along with Scooby Doo were what formed my early spooky self.

"Everywhere we go, the people we meet remember their local hosts fondly: from Bob Wilkins and John Stanley in the San Francisco Bay area, Zacherley in New York, Chicago's Svengoolie, to Sir Cecil Creepe in Nashville. Do you remember your local host? We want to hear from you. We are currently collecting reminiscences and insights about hosts across the country. Have an odd insight or fond memory? Do you have film of your local host at a public event like a fair or mall opening? We'd love to hear from you. "

Support this project...get in touch with these guys. I am incredibly exicted about this and hope you are too. Check out the trailers here and here.
