Taking Down The Tree

We took down our Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations yesterday. Strange how empty the house seems once one declares Christmas over. We didn't realize how boring our living room was until we took out all of the Holiday items. We sat there last night watching "The King and I" with a fire in the fireplace and I couldn't help but to want to string up some lights to brighten up the room. I know people who leave lights up year round...whether they are Halloween lights or other Holiday lights.

There is such a huge stretch of time between Christmas (or New Years) and Halloween. What other Holidays can I get away with decorating for? Can I string lights up for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? What about Groundhog Day? Can someone help me find a Holiday I can decorate for? I'm going through light withdrawals!
