Just how many?

Good evening,

I was recently asked how many CD do I have out.  My answer was that I'd blog about it since I need to sit back and count the releases.  I've not thought about it and the question got me thinking.  It is amazing to think about releasing music.  There are a bunch of steps to it and because I've been doing it for so long I don't focus on numbers, just that I enjoy doing it. October 18th...FREE MP3...

Happy Monday!  It is hard to believe it is October 18th...this month is REALLY racing by.
So, what are you planning on being for Halloween?  Are you dressing up for work or school or are you only getting dressed up on Halloween?

Yesterday my wife and I spent some time in Hancock Fabrics looking at patterns for costumes.  She typically won't purchase costumes and prefers to make them.  The quality is so much better and since she's got the sewing skill set, why not?  Part of our family is "themed" - the baby girl will be Tinkerbell, my boy will be Peter Pan and my oldest girl will be Wendy.  My son has been telling everyone that I'm going to be Captain Hook, but I don't really want to be Hook.  When looking at patterns yesterday we figured we'd need SO much to make a Hook costume that it could cost upwards of $200+ just to get the jacket right.  That's some serious dough for something I have no interest in being.  So it looks like my wife and I will be vampires.  I always prefer being a vampire at Halloween.  It is always my go to creature.

While we were out shopping yesterday I picked up a vampire costume for my son.  I couldn't resist.  He spent the evening running around the house claiming to be a vampire.  It could take some doing to get him into his Peter Pan costume.

Oops....

I'm sure he'll be like is Daddy...creatures of the night are much more fun.

I've decided to get really vampired out this year.  I purchased some special effect contact lenses.

Hopefully they won't mess with my Lasik surgery I had.  My eye doctor is going to check on me to make sure I'm good to wear them for an extended period of time.

I ordered some fangs from Dental Distortions (here). I'm really looking forward to getting the fangs and contact lenses to see how things turn out.  This stuff sure beats what we had available when I was a kid.

Speaking of VAMPIRES...here's a FREE MP3 for everyone - a fitting track for today's blog - "Mark of the Vampire" by MITCH - my rock alter-ego....

I Seen It!

A treat for all you Trick-Or-Treaters, here's a FREE download (or treat) of one of my tracks. The FREE MP3 download today is "I Seen It!" (click here to download)(link disabled), taken from MITCH's Outlaws CD. This song was recorded when I lived in Oakland, CA at the original Pumpkinland Studios. This song probably should have made it onto SS-MOPEHEAD, but due to the rock nature of the track it made it onto Outlaws instead. Not sure how much of a Halloween track this is...so you decide. Enjoy the FREE track and please drop me a comment. Remember, all of my CDs are available for purchase at HauntedCDs.com.Be sure and support Halloween Radio by purchasing CDs from us!

Thanks,

October 12th and a FREE MP3

Blogging everyday this October has turned out to be pretty fun and for those who like free MP3s I hope this will be enjoyable. Here is a FREE MP3 download of "It's Halloween" (click here to download the song)(link disabled) a presently unreleased track from my band Rain Station. After the fun I had recording Rain Station's DARK RIDE CD (with my buddy Jay) I wanted to keep the momentum going and so I put this track together with Jay giving some fun (and funny) backing vocals. Enjoy the free download...I love giving out treats!

Free MP3 of "It's Halloween " by Rain Station

Wow...this blogging everyday during the month of October has turned out to be pretty fun and for those who like free MP3s I hope it has been enjoyable. Here is a FREE MP3 download of "It's Halloween" (click here to download the song) (link disabled)a presently unreleased track from my band Rain Station. After the fun I had recording Rain Station's DARK RIDE CD (with my buddy Jay) I wanted to keep the momentum going and so I put this track together with Jay giving some fun (and funny) backing vocals.

Since my studio is back up and operating I am going to get working on the next Rain Station Halloween CD (drum and bass tracks are done). October is a great month to get projects started (or get back to unfinished business). I am eager to use my (not so) new guitar on the tracks. I bought a Line 6 Variax a while back and it hasn't been heard on any mopehead, MITCH or Rain Station tracks. I plan to remedy that!

Enjoy the track...

Pop! Pop!

This is a FREE MP3 download of Pop! Pop! (click here to download) (link disabled) recorded by my evil alter-ego MITCH (Rock music warning). This track is on the Outlaws CD (click here). I wrote this song after a drug dealer was killed (or maybe just his body was dumped) at the end of my driveway when I was living in the Oakland hills. The track was recorded on my old Tascam 4-track at the original Pumpkinland Studios.

Mark Of The Vampire

OK Halloween rock fans here is a FREE download of one of my tracks. This is a FREE MP3 download of Mark Of The Vampire (click here to download) (link disabled)recorded by my evil alter-ego MITCH. This track is unreleased. I've been working on a new MITCH CD for quite some time now...put a bunch of MITCH tracks on FLESHROT: Songs from the Dead and I have lots more to release at some point. Fleshrot: Tales from the Dead is a graphic novel anthology that pays tribute to the living dead. The title from Frightworld Studios includes eight tales of undead mayhem and a monstrous gallery of zombie art featuring artists from around the world. George A. Romero, director of such classic horror films as Night of the Living Dead and Creepshow writes the foreword to this great work of zombie literature. The soundtrack to Fleshrot: Tales from the Dead is a companion to the graphic novel. This CD features 13 tracks of music inspired by the book. The music is a combination of edgy and gritty songs and ambient/soundtrack 'HauntScapes' capturing the feel of the art and stories from the pages of the book. I wrote/recorded/produced the album in association with Frightworld Studios.
Enjoy the FREE track and please drop me a comment. Remember, all of my CDs are available for purchase at HauntedCDs.com.
