October 27th - Count Chocula cereal
Good evening fiends,
Just a quick hit tonight as Halloween approaches.
This weekend was rainy and as such I avoided putting more props outside. On the radio this morning it said that we may have rain on Halloween so I am going to be careful about what I put outside. As I've said before, I MAY have three or four trick-or-treaters total, but it really is more about my kids enjoyment at this point.
Speaking of kids enjoyment, my son and I were grocery shopping on Friday and he noticed the Monster cereal display. My wife and I don't buy sugar
cereals for the kids, but I figured I'd make an exception and pick up a box of Count Chocula since he and the other kids hadn't ever tried it.
Needless to say it was a hit (what kid doesn't like chocolate cereal) and I think we may have another Halloween tradition on the making.
The box has a comic strip on the back that my son couldn't put down.
There's a brewery in Colorado that bought up all of the Count Chocula is Fort Collins. Evidently Black Bottle Brewery (here) brews beers with cereal. I may need to pick up some more Count Chocula for my own brewing experiments...
Happy Haunting,
Mark Harvey
