Happy New Year...HANGOVER

Happy New Year one and all - to you and yours and all that good stuff. Last night my wife, daughter and I went to a New Years Eve birthday party. One of my wife's friend's husband has December 31st as his birthday...not sure how I'd like that, but he's a great person and doesn't seem to have suffered any ill effects. There was A LOT of liquor there and I really did well not to drink much, but...he (the birthday guy) did break out some high-end Chinese liquor and told me, "This is the most exotic thing I have to offer you, would you like to try this?". Of course I said "yes" as I am always interested in trying different things. He went on to tell me it was quite expensive and pretty powerful. I had a little shot of it and, yes, it was strong. We played pool and all of my skills were rendered useless under the power of this liquor.

All in all I didn't have too much to drink, but I work up this morning (early) with a wicked hangover. I don't get hangovers hardly ever, so when I do get one it is a monumental occurrence. What was surprising was that I didn't have much to drink at all so I could only assume that it was the strong Chinese liquor that did me in.
