CDs back on eBay

Good evening one and all,

As we race toward the month of October I thought it would be a good idea to get some of my CDs back up on eBay.  I typically do well this time of year selling my Halloween CDs and eBay is where it all started for me back in 1999.

If you don't already have your copy of Pumpkinland, Rain Station's DARK RIDE or Fleshrot: Songs from the Dead please be sure to pick 'em up. As always you can listen to the CDs before you buy them.

Insatiable Hunger

Well hello there Thursday night...

I just thought after having a great dinner and a beer that I'd post a song about zombies....hey, why not? "Insatiable Hunger" is from the Fleshrot: Songs from the Dead CD I put out to support my buddy John Pearson's graphic novel (Fleshrot: Tales from the Dead).  This is what I call "stripper rock" - it has a good beat and rockin' guitars (if I do say so myself) and although I've never been to a strip club (seriously) I figure this track would work well in what I envision a strip club would play (if they're playin' rock music). So...have a listen and let me know what you think.

Goodnight friends...have a fantastic holiday weekend!

Just how many?

Good evening,

I was recently asked how many CD do I have out.  My answer was that I'd blog about it since I need to sit back and count the releases.  I've not thought about it and the question got me thinking.  It is amazing to think about releasing music.  There are a bunch of steps to it and because I've been doing it for so long I don't focus on numbers, just that I enjoy doing it. October 24th...REALLY?

Greetings blog readers and Halloween enthusiasts,

So I recently was made aware of this link (here).  The title of the story is..."Yard Haunters: Pathetic Shut-Ins and Sex Offenders".  Now, I take great offense to this - yet - in reading this blog I figure it MUST be satire.

As a Father of three kids I intend on teaching them Halloween MY WAY.  I'm no Bible thumper, but I do have deep religious beliefs.  I believe one can be spiritual AND celebrate Halloween.  I believe that one should not judge others lest you be judged.  Not everyone celebrates Halloween the same way - or my way.  I'm teaching my kids right from wrong - keeping a close eye on them.  I enjoy the fun and frivolity of Halloween.  I'm not into horror, blood or gore.  That's OK for some, but with young kids around I'd rather have them feel safe and look at Halloween as a fun time to dress up and pretend.  It is a creative holiday.  Nothing wrong with that.

Click the link (here again)...have a read...get mad and then realize it is all pretend...or is it?

Enjoy this track and if you hate Halloween...PLAY IT TWICE AS LOUD!

October 9th...noises for the zombies

Well hello there everybody...

Saturday, October 9th brings a few 'HauntScapes' from "Fleshrot: Songs from the Dead". These are perfect tracks for your Zombie Halloween party (for those that plan to have Zombie Halloween parties that is), your haunt or to play when trick-or-treaters are present.

The Fleshrot CD was a lot of fun to put together for my buddy John Pearson.  The CD is a companion to John's graphic novel Fleshrot: Tales from the Dead.  You can purchase the CD here or download high quality MP3s here

Restless Season...October 7th...

October is a restless season. Shaking out the laze of Summer. Things need to be done before Winter takes hold even here in Northern California. The year is nearly over. It is time to think about what has been accomplished - or not accomplished this year. There's still time to remedy.

Taking in the light, the colors, the smells and the sounds. October really begins the Fall/Autumn for me. When the weather finally changes and the leaves have fallen I feel a peace...when I pause. I don't pause enough. Nonetheless I prepare for Halloween. I am compelled to see, to do, to shop and (maybe) purchase as much as I can as I know I have a mere 31 days to enjoy what I love so much. Perhaps I am not restless. I just want a few more days. I just want to put life on pause while I enjoy the carnival - the fair - the amusement park a little longer.
