The Rolling Stones -- Doom And Gloom

Greetings,

Just a quick second hit tonight (yes, every now and again I'm good for a couple posts in a night). Mainly because of a funny story from yesterday and a cool song I heard today that relates.

I ran into a grocery store at lunchtime seeking Lagunitas Brown Shugga' (read about it on my beer blog here), but they didn't have it. My lunch co-workers were making a purchase when one of the clerks at the store was talking to another one about Mick Jagger. They weren't sure who he is or what band his is in...blah, blah, blah. The kid clearly states that he doesn't like Mick, doesn't know about Mick, and I was sitting there in disbelief. I guess times like that make me feel old. I said to the clerk, "Uh, Mick Jagger is the lead singer for The Rolling Stones and those guys are incredible". That ended that conversation. My co-workers accused me of "trying to make friends again". HA!

Today I log on and find that The Stones have released a new track TODAY, "'Doom And Gloom' marks the first time that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood have been in the studio together for seven years. The single was recorded in Paris and produced by longtime Rolling Stones producer Don Was, who has worked with the band on five previous albums (Voodoo Lounge/ Stripped/ Bridges To Babylon/ Licks Live/ A Bigger Bang), with the radio mix produced by Jeff Bhasker."

Without further ado, here it is (note the zombie reference...Halloween ya'll):

Dig the track. Who says The Rolling Stones aren't fantastic?  Kid better shut up!

Happy haunting!
