October 27th...

Good morning friends, fiends and freaks,

I finally got my  hands on a First Edition of "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". This 1967 copy is in PERFECT condition.
I've enjoyed reading the story to the kids - who doesn't love this story? The illustrations from Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson make this book pure eye candy!
Some of the other books I'm enjoying looking at with the kids are The Little Witch's series.
The Black Magic Cookbook is full of great imagery and simple recipies.

The Little Witch's Black Magic Book of Disguises has fun costume ideas.
One of my favorites is the costume ideas for a Vampire Bat.

The Little Witch's Halloween Book is filled with Halloween party, food, decoration and game ideas.
Filled with great illustrations it is fun to go through this book with my kids and talk about Halloween festivities!

Make & Color your own Halloween Decorations is full of cut and color decorations.
I wouldn't dare cut and color in this book, but rather photocopy and enjoy again and again.  The book has perforated pages so I'm not sure how many pages were missing when I got it.  It is super fun to look at.

What are your favorite books to read or enjoy during October?  I'm always looking for new titles to seek out and add to my collection.

Of all the songs on DARK RIDE, this one gives me the most in terms of visuals (in my imagination)...

Happy Haunting!
