Happy Holidays!!!

Holiday Greetings...

I usually don't blog much after Halloween...at least not for a while until I have something to say.  November brings with it the "Halloween hangover" (no, not due to drinking too much) and it takes a little time to get out of the funk.  This year some of my Halloween decorations were up until November 20th since I had my buddy John Pearson and his wife Maegan coming into town. I was able to convince my wife to let me, but my son kept asking me when I was going to put the Halloween stuff away.  It was promptly taken down on November 21st and packed away for another year.

December is always busy for a myriad of reasons.  One of which is my annual Christmas CD.  For the past 11 years I've been making a Holiday compilation CD to give to family and a few friends.  I had been doing a Halloween CD for about as long, but this year things just didn't materialize.

This year the song list is:

Jingle Bells Boogie - Gordon MacMillan & Diplomat Trio
Christmas All Over Again - Tom Petty
Swingin' Home For Christmas - The Tractors
Jingle Bells - The Ventures
Frosty the Snowman - Jan & Dean
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer - The Cadillacs
Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms
Sleigh Ride - The Andrew Sisters
Christmas Cookies - George Strait
Snow Flake - Jim Reeves
Mele Kalikimaka - Don Ho
(There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays - Robert Goulet
The 12 Days of Christmas - John Denver and the Muppets
Winter Wonderland (Remix) - Bing Crosby
Christmas Lights - Coldplay
Do You Hear What I Hear - Andy Williams
The Little Drummer Boy - The Makaha Sons
The Christmas Song - Mel Torme
White Christmas - Michael Buble
Christmas by the Bay - Tim Hockenberry
No Christmas for Me - Zee Avi
Christmas in San Francisco - Vic Damone
Christmas Time is Here - The Blue Hawaiians
Caroling Caroling - Singers Unlimited

Each year I have a new set of Christmas tunes and I do my best to never repeat a song (by the same artist).  I also try and put something relevant onto the disc.  For example - this year I vacationed in Hawaii, thus the Hawaiian tunes (althought I pretty much always put them on my discs) or...maybe this one is better...the SF Giants won the World Series so I have two songs about the Bay Area represented.  Alright, enough of this blog.  Happy Holidays one and all...you may or may not hear from me until 2011.
