I wish I was in Hawaii...

Every now and again I crank the heat up and turn up the Hawaiian tunes and make believe that I'm somewhere in the South Pacific. The downside of listening to this music is that I can't sluff off in a hammock and drink. The whole tiki lounge thing is a great escape when you can get into that headspace.

Right now I am listening to "The Lure of Hawaii" by Sam Makia and his Islanders. You can bid on a copy of it right now if you go to eBay. This tweleve track LP is extra dreamy chuck full of steel guitar and island charm.

It has been raining almost non-stop here in Pumpkinland...I almost feel like I'm in Seattle.
