October...Day Two...

Greetings friends and fiends,

Halloween shopping has been a favorite past time of mine over the years until I overloaded with things and then I had to get VERY specific about what I like, what I buy and what I have to move off from in an effort to have room for the new stuff.  And then I just stopped buying things.

For years it was easy to do this - not only due to money and spatial constraints, but due to the fact that I just wasn't moved by anything I was seeing in stores.  As long time readers of my blog know, I have a very specific aesthetic that I go for.

This got TOTALLY blown up this year (being moved by things in the stores) when I visited my local Home Depot to buy some paint.

Although I didn't purchase anything...they had things that I was interested in.

I generally don't purchase things until they go on sale - even waiting until November 1st for the real deals.  I figure most of this stuff will be gone by then which is OK since I don't have room for any of it anyhow.

If you haven't taken a look yet, check out the stuff at Home Depot. This gigantic skeleton has been all over the internet and while I wouldn't have a place to store it or display it, I still think it is cool. So...what have you seen that you've liked this Season? Have you been frustrated with Christmas showing up in September?

Happy Haunting!

Mark Harvey
