A few nights ago I visited a local bookstore (yeah, a big chain one...sorry small bookstore friends) as my daughter had gift cards that she wanted to use. She ended up with probably 7 or 8 books.
While she was perusing the shelves I made my way over to the Halloween book section to see what seasonal delights they may have.
I had a lot of fun looking (didn't touch any book...pandemic and all) and thinking about which one(s) of these books I'd like to add to my Halloween book library.
I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of books and nearly bought one of them (the pumpkin spice book) for a colleague of mine.
We closed the book store down (they were closing...I didn't light the place on fire) and now I have photos to help me remember which books I'd like to pick up from a local, independent book store.
As many know I'm a music guy so this time of year I'm cranking my Halloween tunes, but I do have a handful of great Halloween books and stories that I need to remember to get out to read to the kids (or to myself). Are there any books that you read each Halloween season? Let me know...I'm always looking for a fun read.
Happy Haunting,
Mark Harvey
