So...a lot of people associate me with Halloween. It is my favorite holiday and eventually people make assumptions that because I'm SO into Halloween that naturally I MUST love horror, or pumpkin spice, or...
Truth be told, I don't usually like horror films. They're not my "go to" and many horror films I have and will continue to avoid. I'm more of a Disney Halloween kind of guy.
I don't like pumpkin spice "things" at all. Yes, I like pumpkin pie and some pumpkin beers, but the rest you can keep.
I DO like fun Halloween foods though and every year I pick up things here at there at the store to add some spooky eating fun to my family's repertoire.
Tonight I'm talking Trader Joe's Ghost and Bats Crispy Potato Snacks. These Halloween-themed snacks are shaped like ghosts and bats. Light and airy, they have a subtle potato flavor and are much more like a crisp than a chip. Lightly salted, I prefer to eat these with some cheese or hot sauce to kick the flavor up.
One serving of about 12 chips has 130 calories, six grams of fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, no cholesterol, 240 milligrams of sodium, 19 grams of carbs, one gram of fiber, no sugar, and less than one gram of protein.
The kids had fun eating them and I'll certainly buy them again.
Happy Haunting!
