Well folks...
That's it. Halloween is over. The month of October is over.
I carved (or helped carve) four pumpkins last night. The weather was perfect for pumpkin carving. We set them out to protect the house and they did their job.
I took my kids out trick or treating and saw some great things - and took photos of them. This year I decided to provide treats in the form of my Pumpkinland CD to owners of houses when I particularly enjoyed their decorations. This was a lot of fun and I got a great response from people. I'm hoping to hear my music in this neighborhood for years to come. In the future I plan to keep a stack of CDs on me to give to the owners of decorated homes that I dig.
Here are just some of the sights I saw last night.
Clearly I was fixated on pumpkins (as I usually am).
Today I avoided the call to shop for more Halloween stuff with a minor exception so I felt good about that.
Tonight I started the pumpkin seed roasting process and taking down some decorations. It will take a little bit of time to get things put away.
I'm undertaking a huge project of organizing everything I have and purging some of the things that just don't fit into the overall picture of Pumpkinland. I'll likely post something about the items I plan to move along to see if perhaps someone locally wants to add it to their Halloween collection.
I hope you and yours had a fantastic Halloween and I look forward to next year and the fun that my favorite holiday brings!
Happy Haunting,
Mark Harvey
