Y-Titled...Why? Because I like to give away free MP3s!
Here is a FREE MP3 download of "Y-Titled" (click here to download). This instrumental track is unreleased and didn't make the instrumental mopehead cut (it is an older track). As I've said on previous posts I have failed to name many of these tracks properly, just picking names out of the sky to associate with it (so I know what it is). When I start a track on my Darwin digital 8-track "Untitled" is the track name until I scroll through and give it a name. This title was born out of pure laziness (or lack of interest while scrolling). Y-titled is a somewhat groovy lo-fi tune. Recently I put a bunch of these instrumentals onto an MP3 disc that I've been playing in my car. Tonight as my daughter and I were returning from taking our cat Toby to the vet this song came on. She didn't say anything as it played, but as we were walking up to our house she was singing the guitar/flute riff and seemed to have liked the track. I don't usually tell the kids (or my wife) that a song they are listening to is mine. That way I can see if they like it before they know it is my music.

This morning when my alarm clock went off The Screaming Paisleys "Morning Dew" was playing. I have an iPod clock radio and I have it set up to pick songs at random. Tonight when I got home my wife told me that she HATED the song that was playing when she woke up and wished I would pick music that's better. I was pretty bummed out. I told her that it was my music (with a big pouting lip). She told me that the music was OK, but she needs to wake up to music that isn't so mellow and that gets her out of bed. Fair enough...she didn't hate it, just hated waking up to it. I guess that's not as bad, eh? As I said before, I have a bunch of these instrumentals (unreleased) and I plan to give 'em away here over time. My unreleased music as well as my released tracks have made it onto soundtracks and I'm always happy to lend a track to a film, TV show or indie project. Enjoy the FREE track and drop me a comment.
